Day 1, Fri: USA - Warsaw
Overnight departure to Warsaw. Enjoy your in-flight meals and entertainment.
Day 2 (D) Sat: Warsaw
Arrival, transfer to your hotel: Novotel Warsaw Centrum. Meeting with your guide in the hotel lobby at 6:00 PM, dinner at the hotel's restaurant.
Day 3 (B/D) Sun: Warsaw
Highlights of your half-day tour include the Old Town, rebuilt with great reverence after World War II, the beautiful Old Market Square, The Barbican and medieval defense walls. Continue to the Jewish Ghetto Memorial dedicated to the victims of Nazi brutality. Visit the Monument of the 1944 Warsaw Uprising. Then drive along the Royal Route, important for its place in Polish history. Next, the Royal Castle - former residence of Polish kings. Afternoon visit to Wilanow Palace, often hailed as the Polish Versailles, set among stately English and French gardens. The building's interiors are ornately decorated with treasures of the Italian, French, and Polish Baroque. Dinner.
Day 4 (B/D) Mon: Warsaw - Czestochowa
After breakfast, the first stop is Niepokalanow, a Franciscan Monastery founded in 1927 by St. Maximilian Kolbe. Then, we drive to Czestochowa, to visit the Jasna Gora Monastery, Poland's holiest place and a center of many pilgrimages. Dinner. Accommodations at the Mercure Patria Czestochowa.
Day 5 (B/D) Tue: Czestochowa - Zakopane
A drive to Zakopane, with stops in Wadowice, the birthplace of Pope John Paul II, and Kalwaria Zebrzydowska. Kalwaria, where the Pope liked to come often, consists of a basilica, monastery, and dozens of small chapels, and the complex is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Dinner. Accommodations at the Mercure Kasprowy Hotel in Zakopane.

Day 6 (B/D) Wed: Zakopane 

Not only is Zakopane a four season vacation land, it is also the center of the age old Highlander culture. Going through town, you will see all sorts of people: vacationers, hikers, colorful market vendors, and sun seekers enjoying the pure mountain air and magnificent vistas. A cable car will whisk you away to Mt. Gubalowka for a nice view of the valley below. Free time in the afternoon. Tonight, enjoy a savory dinner accompanied by live music provided by local Highlanders.
Day 7 (B/L) Thu: Zakopane - Wieliczka - Krakow
After breakfast, drive to Krakow. En-route visit to nearby Wieliczka Salt Mines: three miles of spectacular underground tunnels, chapels, statues, and chambers made of pure salt. Lunch at a local restaurant. Afternoon: continuing on to Krakow via Lagiewniki, with the Divine Mercy Sanctuary and the burial place of Sister Faustina. Accommodations at the Novotel Bronowice in Krakow.
Day 8 (B/L/D) Fri: Krakow

Morning city tour of Krakow, Poland's former capital and residence of kings. With its charming blend of magnificent architecture, churches, cultural monuments, museums, and a vibrant contemporary community, Krakow was recently selected as a European Culture Capital for the year 2000. Tour highlights include the Old Town, Cloth Hall, Wit Stwosz acclaimed altar masterpiece at St. Mary's Church, Jagiellonian University, and Wawel Castle with the Cathedral - all remarkable symbols of Poland's national identity. Lunch. Free time in the afternoon. Dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 9 (B/D) Sat: Krakow - Auschwitz - Warsaw
After breakfast, drive to Warsaw via Auschwitz, site of the former Nazi concentration camp. Dinner with folklore show in Warsaw. Accommodations at the Novotel Warsaw Centrum.
Day 10 (B) Sun: Warsaw - USA
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight back home. As an option, you can extend your stay in Poland on individual basis.
