Day 1, Fri: USA - Warsaw
Overnight departure to Warsaw. Enjoy your in-flight meals and entertainment.
Day 2 (D) Sat: Warsaw
Arrival, transfer to your hotel: Novotel Warsaw Centrum. Meeting with your guide in the hotel lobby at 6:00 PM, dinner at the hotel's restaurant.
Day 3 (B/L) Sun: Warsaw
Your exploration of Poland's fascinating history and rich culture begins this morning with the sites of Warsaw: splendidly rebuilt Old Town, numerous Baroque and Gothic monuments and churches, the Warsaw Ghetto Memorial, the monument of the 1944 Warsaw Uprising, and Lazienki Park. Lunch. Free time in the afternoon.
Day 4 (B/L/D) Mon: Warsaw - Kazimierz Dolny - Lublin
We follow the Vistula River south to Kazimierz Dolny, one of Poland's most picturesque towns and an inspiration for generations of artists. After lunch, drive to Lublin, the oldest town in Eastern Poland. Dinner. Accommodations at the Mercure Unia Lublin.
Day 5 (B/L) Tue: Lublin - Kozlowka - Lublin
Morning city tour of Lublin starts at the 14th century Krakow Fate, the main entrance to the once medieval city. Other highlights include Castle Hill, the Jewish Tower, and St. Albert's Church. Lunch. Afternoon excursion to a beautiful Kozlowka Palace. Return to Lublin.

Day 6 (B/L) Wed: Lublin - Zamosc 

The road leads today through scenic South-Western Galicia, famous for its prize winning horse farms. We stop in Zamosc, often called the Padua of the North, to admire its striking Town Hall, colorfully painted historic buildings, and open squares. Lunch. Free time in the afternoon. Accommodations at the Zamojski Hotel.
Day 7 (B/L) Thu: Zamosc - Lancut - Zakopane
No visit to Eastern Poland is complete without Lancut, a 17th century palace rebuilt in a French Neo-Baroque style. Once owned by the aristocratic Lubomirski and Potocki families, it now houses a museum of antique furnishings and splendid gilt paintings. Its companion Coach Museum displays several centuries old carriages. From here, we drive toward the Tatra Mountains and the Alpine resort town of Zakopane. Accommodations at the Mercure Kasprowy Hotel.
Day 8 (B/D) Fri: Zakopane

Not only is Zakopane a four season vacation land, it is also the center of the age old Highlander culture. Going through town, you will see all sorts of people: vacationers, hikers, colorful market vendors, and sun seekers enjoying the pure mountain air and magnificent vistas. A cable car will whisk you away to Mt. Gubalowka for a nice view of the valley below. Free time in the afternoon. Tonight, enjoy a savory dinner accompanied by live music provided by local Highlanders.

Day 9 (B/L) Sat: Zakopane - Krakow
After breakfast, raft trip down the Dunajec River that runs through Pieniny Mountains National Park. Lunch at a local restaurant. Afternoon drive to Krakow. Free time. Accommodations at the Novotel Bronowice.

Day 10 (B/L) Sun: Krakow
Morning city tour of Krakow, Poland's former capital and residence of kings. With its charming blend of magnificent architecture, churches, cultural monuments, museums, and a vibrant contemporary community, Krakow was recently selected as a European Culture Capital for the year 2000. Tour highlights include the Old Town, Cloth Hall, Wit Stwosz acclaimed altar masterpiece at St. Mary's Church, Jagiellonian University, and Wawel Castle with the Cathedral - all remarkable symbols of Poland's national identity. Lunch. Free time in the afternoon.

Day 11 (B/D) Mon: Krakow - Wieliczka - Krakow
Free time after breakfast, a nice opportunity to explore the wonders of Krakow on your own. Afternoon excursion to nearby Wieliczka Salt Mines: three miles of spectacular underground tunnels, chapels, statues, and chambers made of pure salt. Dinner.

Day 12 (B/L) Tue: Krakow - Auschwitz - Czestochowa
A profound day as we remember the unthinkable tragedy at Auschwitz, site of the former Nazi concentration camp. Drive to Czestochowa, with its Jasna Gora Monastery, to see Poland's holiest place and a center of many pilgrimages. Lunch. Free time in the afternoon. Accommodations at the Mercure Patria Czestochowa.

Day 13 (B/L) Wed: Czestochowa - Zelazowa Wola - Warsaw
After breakfast, we explore the Jasna Gora Monastery and church, a repository of priceless treasures, where the faithful and the curious come to venerate the image of Black Madonna. Lunch. Drive to Warsaw. En-route visit to Chopin's birthplace, a Manor House in Zelazowa Wola. Accommodations at the Novotel Warsaw Centrum.
Day 14 (B/D) Thu: Warsaw
Today, your sightseeing begins with the classical grandeur of Lazienki Palace. Free time in the afternoon. Dinner with folklore show at a local restaurant.

Day 15 (B) Fri: Warsaw - USA
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight back home. As an option, you can extend your stay in Poland on individual basis.
