Day 1,
Fri: USA - Warsaw
Overnight departure to Warsaw. Enjoy your in-flight meals and entertainment.
Day 2 (D) Sat: Warsaw
Arrival, transfer to your hotel: Jan
III Sobieski. Meeting with your guide in the hotel lobby at 6:00 PM, dinner
with folklore show at a local restaurant.
Day 3 (B/D) Sun: Warsaw
Highlights of your half-day tour include the Old Town, rebuilt with
great reverence after World War II, the beautiful Old Market Square, The
Barbican and medieval defense walls. Continue to the Jewish Ghetto Memorial
dedicated to the victims of Nazi brutality. Visit the Monument of the 1944
Warsaw Uprising. Then drive along the Royal Route, important for its place in
Polish history. Next, the Royal Castle - former residence of Polish kings.
Afternoon
visit to Wilanow Palace, often hailed as the Polish Versailles, set among
stately English and French gardens. The building's interiors are ornately
decorated with treasures of the Italian, French, and Polish Baroque. Dinner.
Day 4 (B/D) Mon: Warsaw - Lidzbark Warminski
- Malbork
After breakfast, drive to Malbork; en-route visit to Lidzbark Warminski to
see the best surviving castle of the Warmia region, and then the 14th century
fortified Gothic cathedral at Frombork, where the famed astronomer Copernicus
spent the latter part of his life. Overnight and dinner at the Castle Hotel,
next to the imposing medieval fortress of Malbork, built by the crusading
Teutonic Knights, which held sway over the region centuries ago.
Day 5 (B/D) Tue: Malbork - Pelplin - Torun
Morning exploration of Malbork Castle. En-route visit to Pelplin Basilica.
Continue to Torun, known for its well preserved Gothic buildings. Dinner
and overnight at Spichrz
Castle Hotel .
Day 6 (B/D) Wed: Torun - Biskupin - Gniezno
Morning city tour of Torun's marvelous Gothic architecture includes the
birthplace of Nicolaus Copernicus on St. Anne's Street. View the Old Town Square
and 14th century Town Hall. Drive to Gniezno, with en-route visit to
the Archeological Museum in Biskupin. Afternoon sightseeing in Gniezno, the
first capital of Poland.
Overnight and dinner at Pietrak
Hotel.
Day 7 (B/L/D) Thu: Gniezno - Poznan - Kornik - Wroclaw
Morning drive to Poznan, followed by a short tour of the city. Lunch.
Continue to Wroclaw with en-route visit to the Palace in Kornik. Dinner and accommodations at the
Holiday
Inn or similar.
Day 8 (B/D) Fri: Wroclaw
City tour of Wroclaw, including Panorama Raclawicka. The 400 by 50 feet
panorama was painted by Wojciech Kossak to commemorate the Battle of Raclawice
in 1794, when Polish militia defeated the Russian army.
Free time in the afternoon.
Dinner.
Day 9 (B/D) Sat: Wroclaw - Auschwitz - Paszkowka
Departure for Paszkowka,
near Krakow. En-route visit to Auschwitz -
former Nazi concentration camp, so chillingly evoked in the movie
"Schindler's List." Continue to
Paszkowka for dinner and accommodations at the Paszkowka
Palace Hotel.
Day 10 (B/D) Sun: Paszkowka - Krakow - Wieliczka -
Paszkowka
After breakfast, sightseeing of Krakow. City tour includes Europe's largest
medieval Market Square, the Cloth Hall, and Wit Stwosz masterpiece carvings at
St. Mary's Church, Wawel Hill, the seat of Poland's monarchy for over 500 years.
Afternoon visit to Wieliczka Salt Mines, an unforgettable three mile long
underground walk through chambers, caves, and chapels adorned with statues
sculptured from salt. Dinner with folklore show. Return to Paszkowka for overnight.
Day 11 (B/L/D) Mon: Paszkowka - Wisnicz - Lancut - Baranow Sandomierski
Depart for Wisnicz, home of the bygone patron Stanislaw Lubomirski. Continue
to Lancut, with carefully restored interiors serving as a perfect backdrop for
one of the most diverse art collections in Poland today. Lunch. Dinner and
accommodations at the Renaissance Baranow
Sandomierski Castle, now a museum richly decorated with murals and
stuccowork.
Day 12 (B/D) Tue: Baranow Sandomierski - Sandomierz - Warsaw
After breakfast, tour of the castle. Drive to Warsaw with a stop in
Sandomierz - one of the oldest and historically most significant cities in
Poland. Farewell dinner in Warsaw. Accommodations at
LeRegina Hotel
Warsaw.

13 (B) Wed: Warsaw - USA
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight back home. As an
option, you can extend your stay in Poland on individual basis.
